An Old School Feel With New Gameplay Elements
The Rise Of The Golden Idolmatches older point-and-click adventure games. Still, it looks more similar to Disco-Elysium’s watercolored artwork and is infused with new gameplay elements diverging from otherdetective games' typical evidence-based gameplay systems.
That art style is one of the huge points of interest for this follow-up. Even thoughthe originalwas made of pixel art, Andrejs Klavins explained to Edge Magazine that the new art form is almost “more natural than the original’s pixel art” and was simultaneously easier to make.
While the characters' art style is off-putting and weird, it only enhances the game’s style, as the characters now look much more natural and almost caricatures of the typical suspects in a detective romp.

WhileThe Rise Of The Golden Idolhas a lot to be delivered, with about 20 cases for the player to pry through and uncover, as evidenced by their previous title, we’re pretty sure this game will be a huge knock out of the park for fans.
