Rainbow Six Siegeis gearing up for the release of its ninth year, whichUbisoftwill be kicking off with its very first season, Operation Deadly Omen.
The new season will once again bring with it a plethora of bug fixes, balance adjustments, and new content for fans to dive into. Most notable is the inclusion of a deadly new operator known as Deimos. Ubisoft describes Deimos as “one of the original pillars of Rainbow Six and now one of its most ardent detractors.”

Even die-hard fans of Starfield are admitting that the missions are “stupid.”
Deimos will be equipped with two primary weapons for players to choose from, the AK-74M and the M590A1 Shotgun. As for Deimos' secondary weapon, he’s kitted out with the powerful .44 Vendetta. Both his health and speed are marked as 2 out of 3 stars, but what makes this new operator special is his unique Deathmark Tracker.
The Deathmark Tracker is a miniature flying probe that seeks out a chosen target and reveals their location to the player. Unfortunately, the downside to the Deathmark Tracker is that it also reveals Deimos' location to the enemy. During this process, Deimos will only be equipped with his .44 Vendetta, so you better get the job done quickly.
Rainbow Six Siege Release Time For Y9S1 Update
Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege Y9S1: Operation Deadly Omen will officially be released onTuesday, March 12th at 6AM PT / 9AM ET / 1PM UTC / 1PM GMTfor PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Server downtime will last for approximately 60 minutes. During this time players will be unable to log in and matchmake, and will also be required to download and install a new patch update before they can jump into the new season. All patch sizes can be found via the image below.
It’s also worth noting that Ubisoft has been known to delay the release of new seasons.Y8S4 saw the new update delayed by a whole weekback in November. But should Ubisoft delay the release of Y9S1, we will be sure to update this article and let you know.
