Today, Remedy Entertainmentreleased a new updateforControl: Ultimate Edition’s PC version.
Among all the great-sounding fixes, patches, and enhancements, the highlight of this free content update for most players is sure to be the previously PS4 digital deluxe edition-gated mission:Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience, for allplatforms that can run Control: Ultimate Edition.
Update 1.30 Brings Several Graphics And Performance Updates
The free update is available on PC now, though the update will eventually make its way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles at a future date.
In the near future we will release this same update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. We have a small team working on these updates so we want to space them out to give us time to fix potential issues that might come up. We appreciate your patience!
Once players download and install the update on their respective platform, they can start the previously platform-locked quest by picking up the Dr Tokui Tapes collectible in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector.
The quest featuresvoiceover work byHideo Kojimahimself. Players need to progress through the game until they reach the mission titled ‘Old Boy’s Club’, after which the player is given access to the Central Research Sector, through which the player can make their way past the parapsychology area to find the Extrasensory Lab, where the previously inaccessible mission can be picked up.
In addition to yet another of Hideo Kojima’s video game cameos,players who own Control: Ultimate editionare getting the benefit of added HDR support, a new Ultra ray tracing preset, as well as DLSS support for arbitrary resolutions, among other graphical fixes and upgrades.
Some previously locked cosmetics are also being made available to all players in this new update.
Players can be found and then equipped from the Control Point in the Central Executive Sector area.
PC players can download and install the updatetoday, console players should look forward to a release date for their platforms in the near future.
