ThePokemongames are well-known for allowing players to customize their Pokemon. For example, some Pokemon can have interesting nicknames, some have various forms, and all can be Shiny hunted. These options allow players to truly make their own special Pokemon team.

One such customization is the Ribbon. Like many games before them,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetallow players to collect Ribbons. The games allow you to give your Pokemon special Ribbons that are obtained for completing specific objectives. Not only do these Ribbons let you decorate your Pokemon, but they can also grant certain Nicknames.

What Are Ribbons?
Ribbons have been around for years and are incredibly unique and well-loved items. They have been a staple since Generation III. You can put on your Pokemon to show that they have completed a particular event, goal, or task.They can be equipped from the Pokemon’s Memories Page from the Status Summary screen.Currently, there are twelve Ribbons you are able to collect and give to your Pokemon. Of these twelve Ribbons, two of them are unique to Paldea.
As the game sees the addition of Pokemon Home, new events, and the DLCs, there will more than likely be more Ribbons added in the future. However, as of now, here is a list of the available twelve Ribbons.

A Ribbon that commemorates a birthday.
This can only be obtained during a specific event.
Classic Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Pokemon Fan
A Ribbon that proclaims love for Pokemon.
Effort Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Once Well-Trained
A Ribbon awarded for being an exceptionally hard worker.
You must show a Pokemon with max EVs to the girl in Levincia.
Event Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Festive
A Ribbon awarded for participating in a special Pokemon event.
Master Rank Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Rank Master
A Ribbon awarded for winning against a Trainer in the Master Ball Tier of Ranked Battles.
You must defeat a Master Ball tier trainer in Ranked Battle
Once-in-a-Lifetime Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the One-in-a-Million
A rare Ribbon found extremely infrequently on Pokémon obtained in a Surprise Trade. - 1 in 100 chance
This is given to a Pokémon randomly during a Surprise trade. There is a 1 in 100 chance of obtaining a Pokemon with this Ribbon.
Paldea Champion Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Paldean Champion
A Ribbon awarded for becoming the Paldea Champion and entering the Paldea Hall of Fame.
You must use the Pokémon in the Pokémon League or Academy Ace Tournament.
Premier Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Celebratory
A Ribbon awarded for a special holiday.
Special Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Premium
A special Ribbon for a special day.
Souvenir Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Cherished
A Ribbon for cherishing a special memory.
Wishing Ribbon
(Pokemon’s Name) the Wish Granter
A Ribbon said to make your wish come true.
While there aren’t as many Ribbons in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as there were in other Pokemon games, you may still ensure that your Pokemon is decorated exactly how you’d like it to be.
Transfer Ribbons
With the addition ofPokemon Home to Scarlet and Violet, all of the Ribbons from past games have made a reappearance within the game. However, these Ribbons cannot be obtained naturally in the game. Instead, you must transfer a Pokemon with that Ribbon into your game.
