TheAugust 2023 Pokemon Presentsgave us a new glimpse into the upcoming DLC forPokemonScarletandViolet,The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Game Freak has previously said that the DLC will add over 230 new Pokemon to the Paldea Pokedex. Before you get too excited, however, understand that the vast majority of those will be Pokemon from previous generations that simply weren’t featured in the game until the DLC. That said, there will be a handful of completely new Pokemon debuting in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero that we managed to catch a glimpse of during the recent presentation.

Here are all of the new Pokemon coming toPokemon ScarletandVioletwhenPart 1: The Teal MaskDLC launches later this year.

okidogi, munkidori, and fezandipiti

Updated on June 10, 2025 by Peter Hunt Szpytek: This video below was updated to include a more updated version of the article.

These three Pokemon are the “heroes of Kitakami,” according to the latest DLC trailer. Kitikami is the region players will travel to on a school trip where they’ll get wrapped up in the mysteries surrounding the region’s folklore which will revolve around the three new Pokedex additions.

Ogerpon

Currently, we don’t have a lot of details regarding Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, but we do know that all three Pokemon have the Toxic Chain ability, so it’s safe to assume that they’ll be at least partially Poison type. If we had to guess based on their designs, Okidogi might be Poison/Fighting type, Munkidori might be Poison/Psychic type, and Fezandipiti might be Poison/Flying.

Ogerpon seems to be the main focus ofThe Teal MaskDLC since it has the titular teal mask on its face. While we didn’t get a full breakdown of any of the Pokemon shown off in the latest trailer, Ogerpon is one of the biggest mysteries by far since we don’t even know what type it is. Based on its design, it might be partially grass or ghost-type, but there’s just no way to be sure right now.

terapagos

Like Ogerpon, Terapagos looks like it’ll be the main focus ofThe Indigo DiskDLC since it seems to have the indigo disk that the content is named after on its back. BecauseThe Indigo Diskwon’t be launching until afterThe Teal Mask, we know even less about Terapagos than we do about Ogerpon. It might have a rock typing based on its design, however, when it’s terastallized, the design on its back displays the emblems for all of the different types in Pokemon. It’s possible that Terapagos will be able to change its type like Rotom does, but we don’t have any other concrete information to go on.

Dipplin seems to be one of the Pokemon of Kieran, one of the new characters introduced in the DLC. Dipplin is the evolved form of Applin, a Pokemon included in the originalScarletandViolet. Applin already has two possible evolutions based on the type of apple given to it, so we’re assuming that you’ll be able to get Dipplin in a similar way. Dipplin is grass/dragon type and can have the ability Supersweet Syrup or Gluttony.

Archaludon

Archaludon is the evolved form of Duraludon which has been around since Generation 8. Archaludon is a steel/dragon Pokemon that can have the ability Stamina or Sturdy and is one of the Pokemon you’ll go head-to-head with when you challenge the new Elite Four inThe Indigo DiskDLC.

Raging Bolt and Iron Crown

Raging Bolt and Iron Crown were shown very briefly in the new trailer but seem to be Paradox versions of legendary Pokemon from previous generations. Raging Bolt is a variant of Raikou from Gen 2 and Iron Crown is a version of Cobalion from Gen 5. Other than their names, we don’t know anything about these two Paradox Pokemon.

In addition to the brand-new Pokemon,The Hidden Treasure of Area Zerowill be adding over 230 Pokemon from previous generations to the Paldea Pokedex. We haven’t seen them all quite yet, but we do know to expect plenty of favorites that didn’t make it into the originalScarletandVioletrelease to join the Pokedex in the DLC.
