PokemonSword and Shieldare the fifth best selling games on the Nintendo Switch, so it’s no wonder Niantic wasso eagerto get some of the Galar Region’s Pokemon intoPokemon GO.
Appearing as part of the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event are seven Pokemon that first appeared in those games.
They include the two Legendary mascots, Zacian and Zamazenta as well as Wooloo and Dubwool, Skwovet and Greedent and Falinks - many of which players will be meeting for the first time.
So, to help you out, here is whether Falinks is any good inPokemon GO,what its best moveset is and if it can be shiny or not.
Can Falinks Be Shiny?
Unfortunately, at this point at least, the answer is no.
Falinks' Shiny Form will likely be held back for a later event, so Niantic can double dip on the hype around the Pokemon.
For those who are interested, you can check out what its Shiny Form looks like in the tweet below:
As you may see, its usual yellow and red colouring has been replaced with a brown and yellow palate. Not the most exciting, but certainly more so than some other Pokemon.
Is Falinks Good in Pokemon GO? What is its Best Moveset?
It looks like Falinks is going to be neither good nor bad and will have some niche usage in the GO Battle League.
According toPVPoke, it’s going to be most useful in the Great League, coming in as the 67th best overall choice. It picks up big wins against Stunfisk, Bastiodon, Umbreon, Skarmory and more.
Falinks drops a little bit in the Ultra League, coming in at 86th overall (once powered up with XL Candies). Here it beats some tricky foes that include Swampert, Melmetal and Obstagoon.
It’s least useful in the Master League, coming in 214th place. It can still beat the likes of Dialga, Zamazenta and Melmetal, however, there are far better choices out there.
