If there is anything that thePersonaseries has been known for, especiallyPersona 5, it’sthe series' penchant for flashy and stylish visuals. With the upcoming release ofPersona 5 Royalin Japan, that love of stellar visuals is extending to a series of limited edition consoles and controllers to celebrate its launch.
During Tokyo Game Show 2019,Sony officially revealed a line of limited edition PS4 consoles and DualShock 4 controllersthat will coincide with the release ofPersona 5 Royalin Japan when it launches next month. Specifically, this will include two limited edition PS4 models and a PS4 Pro, along with two DualShock 4 controllers.
The 1TB PS4 Pro model comes in white and features special artwork of Joker and the Phantom Thieves on the top of the system, and also comes with a Morgana-themed white DualShock 4 controller. In addition to the console and controller, the system, which will retail for 44,980 yen, also includes a special cover art forPersona 5 Royaland a set of fivePersona 5postcards.
The two Limited Edition base PS4 systems forPersona 5 Royalare available in either white or black and feature artwork with either Morgana or Joker, with a corresponding DualShock 4 controller to go with them. Both PS4 systems also include the special cover art andPersona 5 Royalart prints, while purchasers can get either system in 500GB or 1TB configurations for 34,980 yen or 39,980 yen, respectively.
While the DualShock 4 controllers are included with the purchase of the systems, Sony detailed that the controllers will also be available for purchase individually for around 6,980 yen. A discount of 500 yen is also available when purchasing one of thePersona 5 RoyalLimited Edition console bundles and an extra controller through the Sony Store.
