This lead to the game’s review score going from“Overwhelmingly Positive”to“Mixed”due to the hard difficulty and performance issues on both PC and consoles such as frame rate drops, bad quality visuals at certain points, and more. But the review score on Steam is now returning to positive.
At the time of writing, the review score of the expansion is now“Mostly Positive”with over 56k reviews. This comes after the latest patch that buffed players by making Scadutree Blessings more powerful, ultimately, make the game easier and bosses less difficult to beat.

Shadow of the Erdtreeis definitely difficult but it was surprising to see so many players complaining about it. Some fans have criticized the ones complaining that do not want to grind in the game and just want an easy game. Players have said that it is a bit difficult but that is what makes it fun.

It shows that how much fans value FromSoftware and the content it brings to them. The expansion still has a long way to go to catch the base game’s sales as it has sold over 25 million copies till date.
However, if one expansion can do it, it’sShadow of the Erdtree. It is also nice to see players enjoying the DLC again, and that will help the expansion record bigger sale numbers.
