This area comes with the Gumoss and Melpaca Pals immediately, which are usually a little tougher to find from other areas. It is also near a Fast Travel point, which makes it easier to get to than others.
Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast

This small island off the coast is great for building a large base and for farming, due to its size and flat surface. Just be ready to have to travel to get a lot of things.
Windswept Hills Plateau of Beginning

This is the default area of the game and comes with the maximum amount of Pals and resources. The climate is good, so having to get warmer clothes won’t be an issue, and it offers a great area to get everything going.
