Why Ore Is So Important

Once you have made a base, you will be constantly learning new technology and adding new parts to your base, such as a Weapons Workbench and a Primitive Furnace. Once you have said furnace, you will be able to start smelting down all the ore you collectinto Ingots. You will need a lot of ingots in order to craft various new structures for your base, weapons, defenses, and more. The more ingots you are able to make, thefaster you will be able to progressthrough the game.

Gathering Ore With A Mount

There are many differentPals you can mountand then use to help you harvest ore quickly. Before you can mount a Pal, you will need tocraft a Saddle for that Palfirst.Mammorest has a powerful stompthat hits everything around it — and this includes ore deposits. Just like using a pickaxe, repeating this over and over can get a little dull — and the saddle for Mammorest is alsoonly available at Tier 28. So what you willwant to do early onin the game isget a Rushoar Pal. The Rushoar Saddle will beavailable at level 6and will give you a more engaging feel as youcharge through as manyof these deposits as you can. This can be a lot more interactive and enjoyable than using a Pickaxe.

Best Ore Farming Location

This is by far thebest ore-gathering optionfor any player, as it will let you farmmassive amounts of orepassively, freeing you up to go explore, collect Pals, and fight bosses. Then, you will have plenty of ore ready to use todevelop your base and craft new itemsto go back out into the world. You will want to head to themarked spot on the map above. You can find this clearing by heading to theCinnamoth Forestfast travel location, andthen heading south, taking thefirst right turn. This area will have more ore deposits than any other known location on the map.

Put down a Palbox, trying to getas many ore deposits as you canwithin its range, and then put a chest next to your Palbox. You will now need toget some Pals to minethe ore deposits for you. In addition to these Pals that are doing all the mining, you are going to needPals to transport this oreinto the chest you put next to your Palbox. This is a Palwith thetransporting suitability, with one of the earliest options beingCattivawith a transporting suitability ofLevel 1. The highest transporting suitability is Level 4, which is exclusivelyheld by the Wumpo Pal. You will needat least one of these Palsalong with all your mining suitability Pals.

Now that you have a workforce, you will need to set up appropriate accommodations for them. This means you will need tomake a Straw Pal Bed for each of your Palsat this mining farm, as well as aFeed Box filled with food. You can set upmultiple bases like thiswhenever you come across an area with plenty of ore around it. Ore is pretty heavy to carry around, so smelting it into Ingots and using it for crafting will ensure that you always have plenty of space for more ore coming in.
