STARMYU’soriginal TV anime Opus Colors(stylized as Opus.COLORS) released its first promotional video andannounced its April 6 premiere date. Along with the trailer and premiere announcement, cast members for the upcoming series have also been revealed.

The first promotional video is a minute and a half long, allowing plenty of time for viewers to get an idea of what the anime will be like. The series takes place 10 years after a form of digital art, known as Perception Art, was first developed. In this type of art, an artist works with a grader to immerse the viewer with sight, sound, smell, and touch. Kazuya Yamanashi, the child of the founders of Perception Art, teams up with his childhood friends as they all pursue dreams of becoming Perception artists. However, things won’t go too smoothly for this team since Kyo Takise has been avoiding Kazuya and their other childhood friend, Jun Tsuzuki, for the past decade.

Although more than 15 cast members have been announced, viewers have no idea who these characters are yet. However, viewers may recognize some of the staff members, as this original anime is reuniting members from the STARMYU series. The creator of STARMYU, Rin Hinata, is also the creator of Opus Colors. Joining Rin from STARMYU, Shunsuke Tada will be directing the series at Magic Capsule, and Sayaka Harada will be in charge of the series composition. Character design will be led by Asami Watanabe. The anime will also feature a separate staff for the art portion of the show, which includes a painter and a costume designer.

The series is set to premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 6 at 24:00 JST, or essentially midnight on April 7. Although no streaming services have been announced for Opus Colors yet,CrunchyrollNews did featurean article on the series, and the platform has seasons two and three of STARMYU available for streaming. This makes it seem like it’s very likely that Opus Colors just might be available forstreaming on Crunchyroll, so keep an eye out for any announcements in the next few months.
