Ever since the Wano arc, the one thing thatOne Piecehas remained consistent about is the constant power-up for almost every member of the Straw Hat Pirates. These power-ups are necessary because Eiichiro Oda is planning to bring the Final War much sooner than fans anticipated. And Luffy and his crew need to be ready for their future opponents.

Out of all the Straw Hat members, the biggest power-ups have been given by Oda to the captain of the crew, Luffy, and the swordsman of the crew, Roronoa Zoro. Both have unlocked Conqueror’s Haki and are now considered the strongest characters fromOne Piece’sworst generation.
However, the main reason behind their power-ups is the fact that both of them are reincarnations of the two legendary figures from the oldOne Pieceera. If Oda follows the same route for Sanji too, he might also get a next-level power-up that could potentially unlock his Conqueror’s Haki and get him to the level of Zoro and Luffy.

The Reincarnation Trope inOne Piece
For a very long time, Oda has been using the concept of reincarnation to connect the narratives of Sun God Nika, Joy Boy, and Luffy by dropping some big hints. However, with the revelation of Gear 5 during the Wano arc, theOne Piecemangaka confirmed this element of Luffy’s character, and now the story has taken a new and unexpected turn.
“It needs to happen”: One Piece Anime Going on a Break Till April 2025 is the Best Thing That Could Have Happened, Here’s Why
The same thing happened when Oda introduced Shimotsuki Ryuma during the Thriller Bark arc. Initially, Ryuma was believed to be just a legendary swordsman from Wano who was deemed the Sword God. But as the story progressed, Oda established a connection between him and Zoro, which led to fans believing thatZoro was the reincarnation of Ryuma.
Although Zoro was later revealed to be a descendant of Ryuma, some fans still believe that he carries Ryuma’s powers within him. Therefore, they were bound to get Conqueror’s Haki, as it only cements their significance in theOne Piecenarrative in terms of willpower and potential.

Sanji Might Have The Same Power-Up As Luffy and Zoro
Although this is just speculation, there is a chance thatEiichiro Odawill pursue the same Luffy and Zoro reincarnation plot with Sanji. This speculation comes from the fact that Sanji’s power-ups are indirectly connected with Luffy and Zoro’s. All three characters have leveled up at the same time inOne Piece, even though their powers have been different.
All three of them are extremely important to the narrative, and their goals in life have the potential to bring a big change in theOne Pieceworld. Thus, it onlymakes sense to allow Sanji to have Conqueror’s Hakias well. However, for that, he also needs to fall into the reincarnation trope, just like Luffy and Zoro. And the perfect timeline to make it happen is the Elbaf arc.

Eiichiro Oda Used These 4 One Piece Characters Including Luffy to Express His Love For Michael Jackson
If this conjecture turns out to be accurate, and all three of them unlock Conqueror’s Haki, the Straw Hat Pirates will become the most powerful crew in the entireOne Pieceworld, past included. It would also put them on par with their future enemies and make them worthy to stand firm in the finalOne Piecewar.
