According to the recently released spoilers, the upcoming chapter will focus on SWORD and Blackbeard Pirates, whilst several characters from the past will also appear.
So, the stage appears to be set for a big showdown between the two, with the biggest threat for Blackbeard arriving in the form of Garp, who destroys the entire town with a single punch.

One Piece Chapter 1080 Spoilers
The upcoming chapter is titled “The Legendary Hero,” and it will open on Hachinosu Island, where we see some pirates discussing someone’s breakout. The next panel reveals Koby escaping with a few prisoners. We then see a short flashback, where Perona finds Koby in a cell and tells him that she will set him free only if he helps her release Moria, who is currently in an even deeper cell. Koby accepts her offer, and he is currently helping her release prisoners.
A few random pirates attempt to capture Koby and offer him to Cross Guilt to earn the bounty on his head, which is around 500,000,000 Berries. Usually, the bounty for a Marine Captain in Cross Guild is only one star, which equals 100,000,000 Berries, but because Koby has a Hero title, his bounty is higher. Koby is chased by other pirates, and he tries to act as a decoy to help other prisoners escape.
The scene shifts to Blackbeard Pirates, who are watching everything from the skull fortress. Pizarro merges himself with the wooden floor and stone wall, making the fortress move and talk. He says that he doesn’t want to destroy the town right after the repair on the Rocky Port is finished. Vasco Shot uses “Gabu Gabu no Mi”, which creates a liquor bubble, and he flies on it and states that he wants to burn the whole town.
A new flashback between Teach and Koby starts, where we see Teach’s desire to make Hachinosu a kingdom approved by World Government and become its king. And for the same reason, he kidnapped Koby so that he could pressure World Government. Koby says that it was useless to capture him for negotiations as he was a SWORD member.
Kuzan explains that SWORD members are Marines who resigned and returned their codes on their own, which means they can attack Yonkou without taking approval from World Government, and their authority doesn’t work on them. However, Teach still believes Koby’s Hero title could pressure the World Government.
Cut to the present, the SWORD force arrives and attacks Hachinosu, and some of their members are introduced. First, we see Commander Hibari, who is a sniper that uses Vegapunk’s “GP Flower” bullets that can turn the enemy’s gunpowder to flower. Then we see Rear Admiral Kuchaku, who is Vice Admiral Tsuru’s granddaughter.
She has the power to create minions by whipping anything, and her power is called “Muchi Muchi no Mi.” The next person introduced is Rear Admiral Prince Grus, who has the power of clay and creating golems. He can also change the bodies of SWORD members into clay. A few other SWORD members also appear in the chapter.
Kuchaku traps all the pirates in the middle of the island by controlling the building using her power. In the meantime, we see Garp’s ship flying in the sky, which also includes Helmeppo and Tashigi. Garp then jumps to the island and uses a powerful punch called “Galaxy Impact,” which destroys the entire town. At the end of the chapter, Garp states that Koby is the future of the Marine.
