This character goes by the moniker “The Man Marked by Flames,” and it is believed that he has the Road Poneglyph that was present in the Sea Forest of Fish-Man Island. Thus, it is safe to assume that he is extremely significant to theOne Piecenarrative, and there have been multiple speculations about who he might actually be.

Among those speculations, one interesting theory points out that the Man Marked by Flames is actually the former Captain of Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard, Rocks D. Xebec. He was one of the strongest pirates in the world, and Scopper Gaban, who had just entered theOne Piecestoryline, might just confirm his identity or his location.

One Piecetheory hints at who the Man Marked by Flames is

According to aOne Piecetheory posted byu/Responsible_Camp_312on Reddit, the Man Marked by Flames is actually Rocks D. Xebec. This comes from the fact that as of now, Xebec is one of the very few characters whose face has not been revealed yet. There is a chance that his face may show a resemblance to Blackbeard, but it is also possible that it might be “marked by flames.”

There were some speculations aboutGaban being the Man Marked by Flames, but as he was a Devil Fruit user and Gaban’s face has already been revealed, he has been cleared of the assumptions. Also, Gaban is one of the few characters who was a part of the God Valley Incident and actually knows what happened in the gruesome battle.
