However, in a recent interview with theSAG-AFTRAFoundation, it was revealed that this isn’t the first time that the Chilean actor has come close to working with Marvel. Pascal opened up about the time he almost starred alongside Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock on the Marvel series,Daredevil.
Pedro Pascal revealed that he initially wasn’tNarcos‘ first choice to play the role of Javier Peña and the role was offered to someone else. It was then he tried auditioning for Marvel’sDaredevil. He said,
“I was auditioning for Daredevil for Marvel. It was like a supporting character, you know, character no.6. He was a lawyer, I can’t remember the name…I was going to test for that role and to intercept the test, they ended up offering me Narcos. It was like Netflix against Netflix.”

Well, it seems like that turned out for the best as Pedro Pascal might have closed his doors for his future in Marvel if he had portrayed some side character onDaredevil.

In the same interview, Pedro Pascal was asked to open up about the news of him portraying the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie and the Chilean actor was able to breeze through this question and ended up neither accepting nor denying the claims. He simply said,
“You said this was a 90-minute [interview]. Tell the truth, this is like past 90 minutes“

This response of Pedro Pascal does make it seem like he very well might be playing the role of Mr. Fantastic but it can also be that he is not sure about portraying the role himself as of yet.
