Fans were initially confused when they saw the name Gordon Reynolds in the credits. However, those who have been following Reynolds for some time recognize the name as the imaginary rude twin brother of the actor. The character first appeared in aGQ interview, when Reynolds was named the ‘Man of the Year’. The roast video even featured a brief appearance fromJake Gyllenhaal.
Gordon Reynolds makes some disparaging comments about the real Reynolds in the video. The character was an instant hit and returned for a few more fun segments. Notably, the character was the opposite of what people perceive Ryan Reynolds to be. The nature of this twin brother adds another layer of comedy when he is credited as the man behind Nicepool.

Nicepool is the kindest among theDeadpool Corpsand the only one without a healing factor. He’s brutally killed off when Deadpool uses him as a human shield, but he makes quite the impression before Wade Wilson steals his Golden Desert Eagle. Making Gordon play Nicepool was a kind of revenge that Ryan Reynolds exacted on his rude fictional twin.
