Regardless,it appears that a completely new cast will be the essential point for the sixth flick. The script, which centers on a younger cast portraying the pirates, was much closer to being approved, according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who made this statement in a 2022 interview withTHR.
He provided the following explanation in response to a query about the difficulty of releasing a newPiratesfilm:
“Oh God, they’re all hard. I think we’re getting very close on that one, too. We have a very good script. We developed two of them — the one with Margot Robbie and one with a younger cast. The Margot Robbie one needs a little more work. The younger cast one is close. Hopefully we’ll get both of them.”
