Narutohas always been this void of endless potential and range. The numerous techniques and ninjutsu made it the captivating masterpiece it is today. Out of all of them, Itachi Uchiha has been a fan favorite character forevermore. His unique aura made him a character worth remembering.

His morally grey outlook helped him gain popularity, but it was the way he utilized his chakra that really drove the crows. Eiichiro Oda’sOne Piecehas a number of Devil Fruits that all hold unique skills and techniques. Many of them are just as vast and unique as the jutsus in Masashi Kishimoto’sseries. However, one particular character has a power eerily similar to that of Itachi.
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece Introduces a Murder of Crows
One Piecehas its own version of Itachi Uchiha. Karasu, the commander of the North Army of the Revolutionary Army has a Devil Fruit that might giveNarutofans a blast of nostalgia. Karasu uses the Susu Susu no Mi or the Soot Soot Fruit. The power is more similar to that of Morpheus the Sandman as compared to Itachi. However, the execution makes it seem otherwise.

He is able to transform, control, and manipulate soot at the tip of his finger, making him a powerful character with lots of potential. It is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that makes him invulnerable to quite a lot of attacks. Karasu is a strong and menacing-looking character with his crows adding an extra touch of darkness to him.

Crows signify oncoming transformation, a trait both Karasu and Itachi share because of their forms. He uses the soot to divide himself into several parts while also transforming all of them into a murder of crows. The very fact that he uses crows stands as ironic because they are birds known to observe death.
Itachi Uchiha’s Iconic Birds of Transformation
Karasu using crows to blend his soot-themed powers is undoubtedly similar to that of Itachi’s affinity for using the same birds. The latter had become iconic for his usage of crows not only for cloning but also for his ultimate goals. He and the birds were tied together in a way that even fans cannot seem to shake his image when seeing theOne Piececharacter.

Karasu’s involvement in the series and the way he fights may be increasingly interesting, especially because of how peculiar his Devil Fruit is. However, the fact that he relies on crows instead of any other bird such as ravens makes it seem as if Eiichiro Oda was trying to silently pay homage toMasashi Kishimoto.

Itachi’s ties with the crow make it impossible for anyone else to lay claim to them. No matter how good Karasu may look while using the soot crows, the Shinobi would always have the upper hand. However, if it is to work as an homage, it does the job nonetheless.
