Now thatMonster Hunter Wildsis in full swing, there are a lot of new things to cover. Luckily, I’m here to offer up some explanations of the brand-new Arena Quests and their rewards.
Coming along in the newFree Title 1 Update, Arena Quests are the ultimate tests for Hunters looking for big challenges. These time-trial style quests will force Hunters to use weapons and gear they aren’t accustomed to while hunting various monsters.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How To Hunt & Beat Mizutsune
A detailed guide on hunting Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds.
I’ll try to provide enough information so you aren’t running blind. There aren’t too many quests available at this point, but Capcom has assured everyone that plenty more are on the way.
Where To Find Arena Quests?
Arena Quests won’t appear on your usual Quest Board at Alma, sad I know, but rather are exclusive to the Grand Hub. You’ll need to head over to the central part of the hub and right across from the cooking area you’ll find two quest givers.
Talk to Ricardo and he should get you ready for your first run of an Arena Quest.Don’t stress too much about the specifics right now and just pick whichever one looks good to you.

How do Arena Quests Work?
This is where things start to get interesting, as Arena Quests have some pretty specific rules to follow. Knowing these rules and how they work will be an integral part to finding success in your hunts.
First and foremost, you should know that these quests have limitations, such as party limit sizes. For now, the limit on the ones available seems to be a maximum of two, and you’ll be given aselection of gearto choose from.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Get Commission Tickets
This guide covers how to get Commission Tickets in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Like I said earlier you’ll once you pick your quest, you’ll be shown a screen with three options for your weapons and armor. Each of the three sets comes with two weapons, armor, and some supplies.

This section is timed and will only give you 300 seconds to make a decision. That means you’ll need to make your choice quickly and coordinate with your party members to determine the best way to tackle this challenge.
Arena Quest Rewards
Now for the part we all love the most, the loot! There’s usually a good offering of items as a reward for completing the hunt, but the ones that might catch your eye are the Coins.
These coins do actually have a purpose and that is to craft some gear. What’s currently on offer isn’t exactly something you’ll be jumping for joy at, but this is only the beginning.

You’re not only competing for these rewards, remember these are time trials, so showing off your skills and speed is a must. You’re able to show off your scores on the various Leaderboards housed inside the game to see how you stack up compared to your fellow Hunters.
Keep in mind, each individual set of weapons and armor will get their own scores.Basically, if you use the Greatsword andHunting Horn set, the grade you receive will only be for that set, so you can compare your times based on equipment.
You CANNOT get monster parts from these hunts! Breaking any parts or destroying wounds will only net you some healing items which you may need, so keep an eye out for them.
Challenge Quests
These quests, much like Arena Quests, are timed so it’s all about speed here. There are actually two kinds of Challenge Quests, regular Challenge Quests and Free Challenge quests.
They both operate a bit differently, so let’s go over them separately.
Monster Hunter Wilds Greatsword Guide: Combos, Tips, and Tricks
For when big damage numbers are all that matters.
Basically, it is just a different version of the Arena Quests except these quests are available for only a limited amount of time. You’ll be limited to two people and have to pick from a selection of gear.
Since these are limited-time events, it’s best to at least give them a shot to earn some of the available Coins. These Coins can help you craft some gear that may appear later or have some other use, but for now it’s just armor.
Free Challenge Quests
This one, as the name implies, gives you a bit more freedom in how you approach the hunt. You’re not limited to a certain number of Hunters or any specific equipment, so you’ll want to make sure yourbuild is perfect for the upcoming encounter.
Since there aren’t any Free Challenge Quests available yet, we can only speculate that the rewards will be similar to those previously.
Challenge Quest Rewards
These will be basically the same but verify you check them every so often as new quests phase in and out. They may have an ingredient or Armor Sphere that you’re after and would be a quick way to obtain them without much grinding.
Aside from that, both types have their own Leaderboards, so you can push yourself to be better than the rest of the rabble. Along with that, you’ll receive different rewards based on your performance.
Regardless, as long as you participate, you’ll receive a Pendant. These Pendants can be added to your character’s outfit to show off your skill to other Hunters.
Leaderboards
You can view the Leaderboards at any time in the Grand Hub by visiting the Expedition Board to the left of the entrance when you arrive at the Grand Hub. If the big Leaderboards aren’t for you, they have sections that let you compare yourself to your friends.
If you manage to get into the top 10,000, then you’ll get an extra special Pendant to denote your superiority. I wouldn’t stress about it too much at this moment though.
Unfortunately, it seems some people have the ability to defeat monsters in under ten seconds. Hopefully, Capcomdeals with these cheaterssooner rather than later.
For now, I suggest just trying to beat your own records or hang out with your friends.
