Fan favorite character Kyle “Gaz” Garrick has come to multiplayer inCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2as an unlockable operator skin. Initially absent from the operator character selection upon the game’s initial launch, the Season One Reloaded event has added Gaz to the roster alongside new game modes, maps, and bug fixes for the game’s multiplayer.

The character’s popularity has only risen since his debut in the rebooted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare storyline that was released in 2019, and now players have the ability to play as him online. Here’s how Gaz is unlocked in Modern Warfare 2.
To unlock Gaz as an operator for free, players will have to complete the first episode of the RAID game mode that was released with the Season One Reloaded event. To access the raid, players will have to have an active Raid Assignment and two other players to play alongside, asthe RAIDs have no online matchmaking. Raid Assignments can be unlocked in several different ways.
Once a single player has completed any of these three tasks, they will have access to the RAID for a full week and can access the RAID with two other players. Only one player needs to have the Raid Assignment in order to access the raid.
Upon completing the RAID, all three players will be rewarded with both a Hard Mode difficulty option for future replays of the mission, and Gaz as an operator for Multiplayer, DMZ andWarzone 2.0with his Convoy skin, one of three outfits available for the character.

The RAID BUNDLE Store Pack
If players do not want to or are unable to complete the Atomgrad Raid to unlock Gaz in multiplayer, there is a store bundle in Modern Warfare 2’s in-game store that can be purchased to access Gaz as an operator. It’s aptly named the RAID BUNDLE and costs 1800 COD Points, equivalent to about20 USD in real-world currency. With the in-game store’s rotating nature, this bundle may not be available at all times, so players will need to check the store after every refresh to get it if they miss out during the initial release.
This bundle contains 8 items, including two weapon blueprints, one for theKastov 545Assault Rifle and one for the EBR-14Marksman Rifle, and gives players access to two operator skins for Gaz. TheGrass Ops skin, inspired by a ghillie suit the character wore in theModern Warfare 2 campaign,is not automatically unlocked upon purchasing the bundle. The bundle insteadgives players access to a challengethat, upon completion, gives players the Grass Ops skin for Gaz. The challenge is to complete any RAID mission, and it does not have to be the Atomgrad Episode One raid that also unlocks Gaz’s Convoy outfit.
The Aquatic Suit operator skin for Gaz, based on his introduction in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign mission “Wetwork"is included outright in the bundleand unlocks Gaz as a usable operator in-game upon purchase. Regardless of how players unlock him, Gaz is a refreshing sight to see in online matches alongside his fellow Task Force 141 members Captain Price and Ghost, and their freedom-fighting comrade Farah, all of whom also appeared alongside Gaz in the single-player campaign.
