The M4 is anAssault Riflethat proves to be a versatile weapon,performing exceptionally wellin most gameplay scenarios. The gun shines when used inmid-to-long-range engagementsbut still holds up remarkably well when used inclose-range gunfights. The M4 has anaverage aim-down sight speed, a fairlyhigh and consistent damage output, and aquick reloadfor the base build. New players do not need to grind the game all too much to unlock this gun, as the M4 is already available for all players once they gain access to Custom Loadouts upon reachingLevel 4.

Best M4 Modern Warfare 2 Build
Our second build still provides a slight increase in range, but the loss of mobility and handling is not as significant as the previous one. This makes the M4 more tailored for running and gunning, perfect for regular Multiplayer.

The following perks are great for players who like to befast and aggressive. For your first Base Perk slot, we recommend choosingDouble Time. Doing so willdouble the duration of your Tactical Sprint, thus making up for the mobility reduction of our chosen M4 build. Next, go ahead and equipScavenger to resupply ammo and throw knivesfrom dead players. This ensures that your M4 is always stocked up on ammunition, increasing its longevity for high-kill games.
Now takeFast Hands for faster reloadingto counter the slow reloading of the45-ROUND MAG. Finally, consider choosingQuick Fixfor your Ultimate Perk slot. This provides you withinstant healing after eliminating opponents, keeping your health high for the next engagement.
For Warzone 2, we recommenddropping Scavenger for Overkill. You should not have too much trouble resupplying ammunition in Battle Royale, and you may benefit greatly by equipping another primary weapon for your loadout.
Secondary Recommendations
You do not have to worry too much about your choice of secondary weapon, as theScavenger perk will eliminate the need for a weapon swap. Therefore,consider carrying a launcher, preferably one that is capable oftaking out enemy killstreakssuch asUAVs. ThePILA and the JOKRare both viable choices for keeping the airspace clear and your teammates off the mini-map.
For your Warzone 2 loadout, however, consider taking aSniper Rifle.This weapon choice will be useful for taking out players who are far away from you.
