Minecraft Legends' campaign mode puts you in charge of leading an army of golems friends. Along the way, you’re able to rally other mobs you find to join you in battle. You will quickly find that these mobs are not mere cannon fodder and are able to put the punishment on your enemies in their own right. Sadly, these mobs found on the overworld will leave your side after some time.

However, there is a way for you to spawn mobs that you can take with you anywhere.By forming alliances with different races, you’ll be able to access spawners that summon them into your army. Here’s how to earn the trust of creepers, skeletons, and zombies.

Capture Of The Homesteads

First, you must trigger the event where the homesteads for each mob race are captured. After taking down a Nether portal belonging to one of the hordes, a cutscene will play showing a skeleton limping its way to the Well of Fate after being attacked by piglins. After this cutscene finishes, the homesteads will be occupied by piglin forces. It’s up to you to rescue them.

To The Rescue

To find the homesteads, open up your map. Each mob race’s homestead is marked by an icon with their face represented on it.Once you’ve decided which mobs you want to form an alliance with first, fast-travel to the nearest village or well-house to that homestead and ride there. Once you arrive at the homestead, a cutscene will play, and the battle will begin.

Battle For Liberation

After the cutscene ends, you’ll be transported to the battlefield. These battles can feel quite chaotic since there is an overwhelming amount of enemies, and there’s not a lot of space for you to build up defenses. Here are the things to keep in mind to overcome each encounter.

Defeating The Piglins

Once you begin each battle to liberate a homestead,a piglin counter will show on the screen. This counter goes down the more piglins you defeat in battle.Once you defeat enough piglins, another cutscene will free, where a group of mobs break out of their cage and join you in battle. After that, the health bar for the nether portal of the base attacking the homestead will be displayed instead.

You can quickly lower this count by focusing on defeating the smaller piglins. There is not much reason to directly confront the bigger piglins in this encounter, as without a significant amount of upgrades, you’ll likely find yourself quickly overwhelmed by them. Since the homestead is technically now piglin territory, you don’t have to worry too much about the stronger piglin variants attacking buildings either.

Rallying The Freed Prisoners

Besides your own golems, you can also get additional help in the form of the prisoners you free. In each homestead battle, there will be mobs imprisoned in cages scattered throughout the area.Have your own forces distract the enemy while you open the cages. Once you free the mobs, you’ll be able to rally them to join you in the fight to liberate their home.

Being at a massive numbers advantage, you’ll definitely appreciate the extra hands. Not to mention, this is a great chance to get a closer look at each mob race in combat before they join you.

Destroying The Nether Portal

Once you’ve defeated enough of the smaller piglins, it is recommended that you and your forces start heading straight to the enemy’s nether portal. The enemy army will be forced to retreat once their gate is destroyed.Of course, you can take your time and destroy more buildings if you’re in need of prismarine.

Use stone golems (and creepers, if you have access to them) to dear down any buildings that may be blocking the path.Once you manage to get to the portal, open up all the cages in the portal’s vicinity and have both the free prisoners and your force focus their attack on the portal. Again, stone golems and creepers are very good at speeding up this process.

New Friends

Once you’ve taken down the nether portal harassing them, the mobs will decide to form an alliance with you. From now on, you’ll be able to call upon them by building a spawner and spending the appropriate resources. With an expanded range of available units, each subsequent liberation should be easier, and you’ll have Minecraft’s most iconic foes fighting on your side in no time.
