Present were David Hayter (Naked Snake), Lori Alan (The Boss), and the elusive Suzette Miñet,the woman behind EVA.
Ever since the release ofMetal Gear Solid 3,fans had figured out that there was no real Suzette Miñet, considering the name never returned any other acting credits.
Despite twenty years marked by a lot of hardcore internet sleuthing, plenty of arguing, and the most insaneconspiracies, theMetal Gearfandom never quite came to a consensus of who the real Suzette Miñet was.

Two of gaming’s biggest legends are being pitted against each other.
As shown in the video, the woman behind Suzette Miñet is one almost everyone has listened to for decades.
That is none other than Jodi Benson, the legend who voiced Arielin the 1989 Disney adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
The film was Benson’s very first foray into a feature film, though she had a solid stage resumé before that, including a Tony Award nomination for her role in Crazy For You.
Besides Ariel, Jodi Benson also voiced Barbie in the Toy Story franchise, Helen of Troy in the Hercules animated series, and multiple characters in the Camp Lazlo cartoon.
Why Stars Hide?
In hindsight, it may seem strange that someone would want to keep their presence in such a high-profile game release likeMetal Gear Solid 3anonymous. Benson says she had her reasons though.
As detailed in the video,Benson’s career up until then had been almost exclusively in more “family-friendly” media, especially from Disney.
Metal Gear Solid 3proved an interesting change of pace, but the actor did not want it to interfere with her usual work, especially since the game had some pretty steamy scenes between EVA and Naked Snake.
Her agent suggested taking up her dog’s name, Suzette Monet, and changing the surname slightly to avoid confusion with the French impressionist painter.
Thus, Suzette Miñet was born, haunting the imagination ofMetal Gearfans for decades. Next time you do a HALO jump into the Soviet Union, just remember:the Little Mermaid has your back.
