Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis one of the latest video games to becomeSteam Deckverified, meaning that it has been thoroughly tested byValveand has passed all compatibility checks for the platform.

Firaxis Gamesrevealed the new Steam Deck verification for its recently released titlevia Twitter, stating “Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now Steam Deck Verified,” followed by a green tick emoji and a gif of Captain America. Heading to the official Steam store page for Marvel’s Midnight Suns will now reveal the infamous green tick, which states that the game is “fully functional on Steam Deck, and works great with the built-in controls and display.”

Firaxis Games' latest title now joins other powerhouses to be verified on the Steam Deck, including Apex Legends, the recently released Dead Space remake, NBA 2K23, Elden Ring, and many more. Reportedly, there are over 3,600 games verified for the Steam Deck. However, many Steam games are still playable on the Steam Deck, even if they are yet to receive the official verification tick by Valve.

Although Marvel’s Midnight Suns has almost 6,000 reviews on Steam with a “mostly positive” rating, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind publisher 2K, recently revealed that Midnight Suns had beensomewhat of a “commercial flop.“According to the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, the release window for Midnight Suns could have led to its commercial failure, he told journalistJason Schreier.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns did receive high praise from fans and critics alike. Here at DualShockers, we gave the game an 8 out of 10 rating, calling it a “thoroughly different, and thoroughly entertaining Marvel experience.” Unfortunately, despite the positive reviews, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has clearly failed to meet the sales expectations set by parent company, Take-Two Interactive.
