The MCU’s Phase 4 has now concluded without anAvengersmovie. But Phase 6 will do that feat for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with its two films —Avengers: The Kang DynastyandAvengers: Secret Wars.

In these films,Jonathan Majors’ Kang was touted as a threat to the Multiverse Saga. But now, after Kang the Conqueror, Kingpin is set to be the next huge villain of the MCU.
Kang’s presence inLokiSeason 2 will impact future MCU movies, which hints at the character’s continued menace in the narrative.

Majors debuted as Kang inAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.Even though the movie saw the villain dying in a shocking twist, his return is certain. But it’s also for sure that Kang’s story won’t drag on for long in the MCU and Kingpin will become the next Big Bad.

MCU Should Try to Shift Its Focus to Street-Level Villains
After featuring Thanos in Infinity Saga and Kang in the Multiverse Saga, it’s now pivoting towards street-style villains like Kingpin.Villains like Thanos and Kang are more like carbon copies, and now introducing another villain in the same line might feel repetitive.
Marvel’s decision to introduce Kang immediately robbed the excitement of fans that they had when Thanos came to light. So, rather than relying on major villains, the MCU should now focus on minor villains to develop relatable stories for its heroes.

Marvel Studios now has several street-level heroes, so it’s the perfect chance for them to focus on street-level villains. This will allow heroes like Daredevil and Punisher to have more involvement in the action.
