The scene in question is Cha Hae-In reacting to Sung Jinwoo or, rather, his charm. While fans were expecting a reaction from the character and an advancement of the romance sub-plot, no one could have guessed how the anime portrayed her.

Episode 6 ofSolo Levelingseason 2 showed Jinwoo defeating Kargalkan, the boss of the dungeon. There was only supposed to be him and the enlisted hunters in the dungeon but Cha Hae In sensed something was wrong and had entered the dungeon following the others. When Jinwoo defeated Kargalkan and extracted his shadow, Cha Hae-In was observing everything with her very own eyes.

Once Jinwoo leaves, Hae-In is suddenly pulled to her senses and realizes that she was standing there all along with a pickaxe in hand. As soon as realization dawned on her, she immediately blushed and began wondering if Jinwoo would find it weird. However, the animation of this scene is wildly different from what is present in the manhwa, which makes it look like Hae-In is hungry for attention.
Nonetheless, this is the beginning of Cha Hae-In’s attraction to Jinwoo, a plotline that will advance even more as the episodes progress. Butwill the anime keep exaggerating the female lead’s reactionsto make her look more meek than she actually is?

Cha Hae-In is socially awkward at times, especially about things outside her dungeon-hunting expertise. Thus, feelings of attraction towards a hunter, especially one who didn’t smell foul, were new to her. She was caught in the moment and let out her thoughts; however, in the manhwa, she looks more startled than dying of blushing.
