Tadano is good at reading the minds of people, and both Nakanaka and Yamai want to learn this technique. Tadano tries to teach them how to do it, but they fail every time. Komi approaches them and asks why they are watching her and talking about her. Everyone thinks that Komi is mad at them, but it turns out she wants to hang out with them.
Three boys in the class start to discuss who they would date out of all the girls and start to imagine romantic scenarios. The third guy involved Komi in his romantic discussion, but as soon as Komi entered the class, they all stopped talking. After being friends with Tadano, Katai wants to invite him for lunch. But as soon as he approaches him, he forgets what he came for and leaves the classroom. Tadano understands that Katai approached him to have lunch together, so he follows him.
Katai notices Komi watching them having lunch, after which he makes several attempts to get closer to Tadano. After noticing Komi, Tadano also invites her to have lunch with them, and later Najimi also joins them. Back at home, Komi chases the sweet potato truck, and after some struggles, she is able to buy herself some sweet potatoes. Tadano is embarrassed about dressing as a girl while dancing with Komi at the culture festival. He then heads out of the home and runs into Komi by chance. She gives him a sweet potato, and Tadano asks if they can do something together during winter break, to which she agrees.
