The epilogue thatMy Hero Academiafans have been waiting for, for months, is almost here. The final volume of the manga will include the bonus content Kohei Horikoshi planned for the series. When the manga concluded in August this year, fans had some gripes with the final developments.

Many believed that the ending left some loose ends unattended, and hoped for a better conclusion. As some panels from the bonus chapter surface online, it seems like Horikoshi has listened to what fans wanted. While that’s good news, it makes the readers inevitably wonder if Gege Akutami will follow a similar trajectory withJujutsu Kaisen.

After all, the ending ofJJKhad its fair share of flaws. The readers wanted the story to wrap up in a more rewarding and complete manner, which sadly didn’t happen. So, let’s explore whatMy Hero Academiahas in store for us and ifJujutsu Kaisenwill get the same treatment from Akutami.

A Peek Into the Bonus Chapter ofMy Hero Academia

The final volume of the series,My Hero Academia Volume 42, will be released on December 4th. Along with the final chapters of the series, the volume containsalmost 40 pages of bonus content. The ending of the manga showed us the aftermath of the war followed by a time skip.

At the other end of the time skip, we got a brief glimpse into the lives of the students of Class 1-A. Most of them became prominent figures of the hero world, while Deku resorted to being a teacher after losing his powers. He wanted to guide the next generation of heroes, and the manga ended with an interaction between him and a young boy aspiring to become a hero despite a weak quirk.

While the ending showed us a nearly complete picture, fans expected the relationshipbetween Deku and Urarakato get a more satisfying resolution. As the release of the final volume is almost here, some snippets from the bonus content were leaked on X. And they hint that Deku and Uraraka might finally get their deserved conclusion.

The final chapter of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia

After seeing the volume cover, fans were certain that the final volume would explore the story of the young kid introduced inChapter 430. While that is still probable, seeing Deku and Uraraka have another interaction makes fans hopeful once again.

A few months afterMy Hero Academiaended,Jujutsu Kaisenalso concluded its six-year-long run. The final volumes ofJJKwill also be released in December as well, making fans hope for a better epilogue.

The central trio of Jujutsu Kaisen

AsJujutsu KaisenFinal Volumes’ Release Draws Near, Is There Any Hope For Bonus Content?

The final volumes ofJujutsu Kaisen, volumes 29 and 30, are scheduled for a December 25th release. Even though it’s Christmas, it doesn’t seem likeGege Akutamihas any surprises in store for fans. The lack of announcements suggests that Akutami probably doesn’t have any such plans. However, there’s still hope!MHAbonus content was announced only a few weeks before the final volume’s release.

There are still a few weeks beforeJJKvolume 29 and 30 release. It would be great to see the central trio and their lives a few years into the future. Their journeys and how they chose to move forward as the sorcerers who defeated the King of Curses. Just likeMHA, JJKhas room for a better epilogue, and hopefully, Akutami would bring that epilogue to life, although the chances are quite slim.

My Hero Academia Volume 42will be released on December 4th, 2024 andJujutsu Kaisen Volumes 29 and 30will be released on December 25th, 2024.
