During theOratoresmain quest inKingdom Come Deliverance 2, Henry and his allies plan to destroy the last thing Sigismund has the advantage of during the war — the Treasury. In order to do this, the group needs to use the Papal Legate to get inside the Italian Court.
The Oratores quest will take players on a long journey, involving searching for a key, exploring a hidden tunnel, an intense horse race, fighting multiple enemies in combat, and more.

Lord Von Bergow’s Council
The first objective for the Oratores quest inKingdom Come Deliverance 2is tomeet Zizka in Suchdol to discuss the next steps.
He’ll mention that they’re about to hold a council for Lord Von Bergow, but not until the following day. Wait until a whole day passes, by either sleeping orcompleting side quests, and then return to Zizka to start the council.
During Lord Von Bergow’s council, we learn that the best way to ruin Sigismund is bycorrupting the Treasury and stealing the silver from the Italian Court.
Managing to do this will result in Sigismund being unable to pay his soldiers, causing outrage among them and depleting their forces. The plan is to get into the Italian Court and take advantage of the Papal Legate’s visit, using him to steal the silver.
There’s no dialogue option that will change the outcome of Lord Von Bergow’s council.
With the help of Rosa, we learn there’s anunderground tunnel leading from Ruthard’s Palace to the Italian Court.Once the council is over, speak to Rosa and inform her that you’re ready to head to Ruthard’s Palace to begin the plan.
While talking to Rosa, you also have the opportunity tohand over the book of poemsthat you may have found during theTaking French Leave quest.
If you manage to steal the book from that quest, then this willunlock Rosa as a skilled teacher. Unfortunately, if you didn’t grab the book, then she won’t become a skill teacher.
Escorting Rosa to Ruthard’s Palace
Once you arrive in Kuttenberg with Rosa, the objective begins at the entrance of the hidden passageway that leads to Ruthard’s Palace.Select the option to “follow” Rosaand continue through the passageway, until Rosa reaches a pool of water and stops in her tracks.
Select the option to reply to her dialogue, where she’ll mention the water is too deep and will demand you to carry her. Agree to this demand, pick her up, and continue through the pool of water until you reach the other side.
On the other side of the water, you’ll reach a door that leads into Ruthard’s Palace. Upon entering, Rosa and Henry will immediately hear voices coming from outside, warning us there are intruders in the palace.

Take the door that exits to the outside courtyard, activating a short cutscene between Rosa and Henry. Rosa will explain how she wants you to take care of the intruders while she climbs into her room and provides aerial support. Agree to this plan.
Walk up the stairs to the main courtyard area, whereyou’ll find six Vagabondstofight in combat.Don’t worry, these enemies are incredibly simple, only taking a few swings of your weapon to kill.
Once they’re all defeated, Rosa will yell out of her window, exclaiming that someone is trying to break into her door. This is where you mustrush into the building and defeat all the enemies inside.In total, there arethree soldiers on the lower level, and one soldier banging on Rosa’s door upstairs.
Once the coast is clear, knock on Rosa’s door and inform her that it’s safe. When she unlocks the door, enter and engage in conversation with her.
If you have been romancing Rosa up to this point, this is where you’re able to fulfill the romance if you’d like.
After you’re done with your interaction with Rosa,head downstairs to find a bed and get some well-needed rest.
Getting the Royal Treasury Key
Our next objective during the Oratores quest is to get the Royal Treasury Key. To start this objective, go outside into the Ruthard’s Palace courtyard andspeak with Zizka.
He’ll mention it’s time to get the key to the Royal Treasury from Vavak, and of course, he sends Henry to do the dirty work.
Head to the red quest marker, which leads to Vavak’s location. Upon arriving, Henry notices that Vavak’s normal guards aren’t standing watch, and instead, they’re guards he’s never seen before.
Speak to these guards andtry to convince them to let you into the building by completing dialogue checks. If you succeed, you can walk right in with no problem at all. However,if you fail the dialogue checks, then you have to enter through the back entrance.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How to Respec Your Character

Once you’re inside, go up the stairs next to the back entrance tofind Christian Pisekrummaging through Vavak’s belongings. Speak to him and tell him about the plan to see if he’s willing to help.
Two outcomes can occur here.If you helped Christianduring theVia Argentum quest, then he’ll be more than happy to help you. However,if you didn’t help himduring the Via Argentum quest, then he will challenge you in a duel, and you’ll have to kill him and his two soldiers.
Either way, make sure tograb the Letter from Vavak and the Scribbled Letter from Christian(either handed over willingly or looted from his corpse).
Finding the Royal Treasury Key
Now that you have the letter from Vavak and the Scribbled Letter in your possession, go to the books section in inventory and read them.
The Scribbled Letter reads “And I’m almost sorry I won’t see your face when you find out where I left you the key!“This is a hint that the key is somewhere gross.
Make your way through the back entrance to the outside area to find a small cabin with a toilet in it. Investigate the toilet to find the key, and then return to Zizka.
Investigating the Tunnel
Zizka will send Henry and Samuel off to investigate the underground route that leads from Ruthard’s Palace to the Italian Court. Before we do that, though, we need tospeak to Rosato find out how to access it.
Head to the waypoint to speak to Rosa, and she’ll mention thatthe tunnel is accessed through the kitchen in Ruthard’s Palace.
She also mentions that while you explore the tunnels, you should look for anunusual-looking wall that makes a different sound when you knock on it. This is the partition that leads to the Italian Court.
Now that we know where to go, speak to Samuel and tell him you’re ready to investigate. Follow Samuel through the kitchen, into the underground tunnel, and continue straight until you reach a couple of looters.
you may either convince these looters peacefully to leave the tunnel, or you can kill them. I recommend killing them since they’re really easy to defeat, and Samuel won’t care if you do it.

Fortune favors the bold, but she’s apathetic to your fingers.
Next, continue following Samuel through the tunnel until he begins to knock on a series of walls. As he’s searching,you can find the correct wall in the back left corner of the room.You’ll know you found the right one if it hasbrown sludgeon it.
Knocking on this wall will create a hollow sound, just like Rosa said earlier. After you mark this wall, exit the tunnels and return to Zizka.
Meeting the Papal Legate
Henry and his allies will all meet at the dining table to discuss the next steps, which is to speak to the Papal Legate. Before we do that, though,we need to pass some time until the clock reaches 4 o’clock.
When it becomes the correct time,meet everyone in the courtyard and speak to the Dry Devil. Tell him that you’re ready to head out to Loretz, which will lead into a cut scene.
Due to Godwin’s disastrous attempt to speak with the Papal Legate, everything turns into a disaster. Since the Papal Legate can’t understand Godwin’s terrible Italian, he becomes frightened, and he and his guard flee the scene on horseback.
Chasing the Papal Legate
To prevent the Papal Legate from getting away, you need to chase him on horseback as fast as possible.Failing to catch up with him in time will result in a game over.
This part can be incredibly challengingif your horse has terrible stats. If this is the case, and you keep meeting the game over screen, thenyou may have to get a better horse from a stable in Kuttenberg. Unfortunately, you’ll have toreload an earlier saveif this is what you wish to do.
Catching up to Papal Legate will activate a cutscene, where he will run into a tree branch and get tossed from his horse. You and your allies get off their horses to speak to the Papal Legate, but unfortunately, he hit his head on a rock and died from his injuries.
Due to this unforeseen event, the plan changes to Godwin dressing up as the Legate and impersonating him in the Treasury.
Before going any further in the quest, keep in mind thatthis is the point of no return. If you have any side quests you’d like to do first, tell Zizka you will meet up with him later.
Return to Ruthard’s Palace and listen to Zizka and the Dry Devil explain the new plan going forward. Next, visit Brabant, who will teach you a set of Italian phrases and sentences needed for the next mission, “The Italian Job.”
Finally, speak to Rosa to get a disguise for the next mission and then speak to Zizka to complete the Oratores quest.
