What Happened Previously On Jujutsu Kaisen?
In the last episode, Kokichi Muta’s insurance plan came to light as a communication device resembling Mechamaru appeared on Yuji’s ear. Initially, Yuji was wary, but Mechamaru revealed they were on the same side. Meanwhile, Satoru Gojo was trapped in the Prison Realm, and Pseudo-Geto taunted him. Gojo’s inspiring words sparked a rebellion within Geto, leading to a struggle. Mahito questioned the separation of body and soul, but Pseudo-Geto appreciated the poetic notion. In the end, they completed the seal on Gojo, achieving their main goal and closing the Prison Realm.
In Harajuku, Mei Mei questioned Mechamaru’s claim about Gojo’s sealing. Mechamaru revealed his plan, and the Curse users targeted her team. Yuji confirmed their presence, urging Mei Mei to follow Mechamaru’s instructions, and they prepared for an imminent battle. Meanwhile, in the Hikarie Building, the Prison Realm escaped Pseudo-Geto’s grasp, immobilized while processing Gojo. Gojo remained unfazed, trusting his allies. Meanwhile, new curtains appeared, releasing transfigured humans. Team Zenin, Nanami, and Kusakabe were deployed to rescue non-sorcerers, while mysterious curtains blocked access to Gojo’s location. In Shibuya Station, Ijichi was attacked by Haruta Shigemo, following Uraume’s orders.
Another of Mechamaru’s communication devices witnessed Pseudo-Geto and Mahito as the Prison Realm processed. Mahito detected the device and destroyed it, and Sorcerers quickly converged on their location. Yuji entered the curtain imprisoning civilians, fighting transfigured humans to protect bystanders. He called for Nanami, announcing Gojo’s sealing, prompting Nanami’s urgent response. Meanwhile, Geto, Choso, Jogo, and Mahito contemplated their next move. Mahito proposed a deadly game, seeking to find and kill Yuji, while Jogo disagreed. They all left the place except Pseudo-Geto.
Team Nanami found Yuji, and Mechamaru outlined their plan to attack Gojo’s location from adjacent subway stations, but the barrier had to fall first. Ino emphasized the dire consequences of Gojo’s absence, pledging to rescue him at any cost. Determined, they set out to take down the curtain before Nanami returned, understanding the grave stakes at hand.
