What Happened Previously On Jujutsu Kaisen?
In the previous chapter, there’s a brief flashback where Sorcerers plan a surprise attack on Kenjaku while Gojo confronts Sukuna. Angel is worried about a possible ambush by Kenjaku if Gojo doesn’t win. Hakari disagrees, as dealing with Sukuna is already a tough task. Angel suggests sending Takaba to face Kenjaku. While Hakari and Kusakabe have doubts about this idea, Angel hints at a secret about Takaba’s Cursed technique. However, the chapter shifts to the ongoing battle before she can reveal more.
Kenjaku launches an attack using Geto’s centipede curses against Takaba, but he discovers that his Cursed Technique is completely ineffective. Takaba playfully places an American flag bandana on Kenjaku and boldly declares, “You can’t defeat me.” Kenjaku realizes that Takaba’s Cursed Technique involves bringing his imaginative creations into reality. He acknowledges that his vast knowledge won’t help against Takaba’s unique abilities, but he believes there must be a weakness in his technique.

Kenjaku manages to land a solid hit on Takaba, realizing that Takaba’s Cursed Technique relies on the user’s self-assurance. Takaba goes flying but remains defiant. He asserts that Kenjaku, who has never performed on stage, doesn’t need to find his joke funny because others do. Takaba suggests a game where the first to laugh loses. With comically exaggerated expressions, they compete, and Takaba loses, bursting into laughter at Kenjaku’s face. However, Takaba’s confidence falters as he looks at Hazenoki’s lifeless body. Kenjaku mocks him, and Takaba has self-doubt, questioning his identity as a comedian.
