What Happened In The Previous Chapter Of Jujutsu Kaisen?
In the previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji and Takaba were preparing to unseal Gojo, but their plans hit a snag when Hana raised concerns about the location of the unsealing. Takaba suggested they liven up the place by decorating it with origami, but Angel reminded them that physical time does not run in the Prison Realm, so they have no idea how long Gojo has been sealed for.
The group expressed concern over Gojo’s mental state, as he may have felt like he was waiting for a hundred years, or maybe just a moment, even though 19 days had passed in the real world. Shoko warned that unsealing Gojo in his confused state could be dangerous. As the chapter progressed, tensions rose as the group struggled with the decision of where to unseal Gojo.
Yuji, Hakari, and Kirara expressed concerns over unsealing Gojo, fearing that he might go berserk and cause danger. The group carefully unsealed Gojo as if they were handling a ticking bomb. Hana activated Angel’s CT on Inumaki’s request, while Jacob finally activated his Ladder inside Gojo’s Prison Realm.
As Yuji approached Gojo, he realized that everything around him had vanished. Hana explained that her CT was not responsible for this disappearance and speculated that Gojo might have turned evil, and her light could have made him vanish. Suddenly, the group felt a tremor, and Kenjaku revealed that he had put the Prison Realm 8000 meters deep in a trench just in case Gojo got unsealed. And then, the moment arrived when we saw Gojo Satoru’s return.
Kenjaku tried to provoke Gojo, but the latter shut him down by reminding him that it was his final moment and that he should choose his words carefully. However, just as the tension was rising, someone unexpected intervened in the fight - it was none other than Megumi. Sukuna commented that he would kill Goju in Megumi’s body; however, Gojo wasn’t intimidated by Sukuna’s threats and ridiculed him for running away from Yuji earlier. This didn’t sit well with Uraume, who was enraged and tried to attack Gojo. But Goju punched her and sent her flying.
As Sukuna and Gojo gear up for their long-awaited battle, Kenjaku unexpectedly intervened and declared that Sukuna must fulfill a promise before the fight could take place. Gojo didn’t leave a chance to mock Sukuna and asked if the King of Curses would listen to someone like Kenjaku. Finally, the date for the battle was decided for December 24th. The chapter ended with Yuji asking Gojo what the battle would result in, and he replied that he would win.
