The previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen focused mainly on the Culling Game while also giving us a glimpse of Gojo’s Prison Realm. Shoko also recalls something that Gojo said a while back when he was still in the real world. Hoping that he (Gojo) would return soon, Shoko utters to herself, “Come back, Gojo.” At that moment, Shoko was actually reflecting on what every JJK fan had been praying for since the Shibuya Incident.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 221 To Feature Gojo’s Second Round With Sukuna

Chapter 221 is still a few days away from its official release, but some early spoilers have already surfaced online. The leaks confirm that the next chapter is titled “Gain and Loss,” — highlighting the dilemma that Yuji and his allies are going to face when they attempt to unseal Gojo. Surprisingly, the chapter waste no time and straightaway shows Yuji and Takaba trying to bring back Gojo.

Angel highlights the fact that the prison realm doesn’t follow the space and time rules of the physical world. In the manga, it has only been 19 days since Gojo has been sealed (Yeah! 19 days in the manga was around three years for us). However, it’s hard to say how much time has passed for Gojo in the Prison Realm — it might be just a moment or more than 100 years. If Gojo has actually felt like waiting for hundreds of years in the black box, there’s a chance he is not in a decent mental state. And, well, nobody would like to see apowerful man like Gojogoing berserk after being unsealed, so everyone’s probably right to take Gojo’s mental state into consideration.

Regardless, Angel finally does her magic, and through Jacob’s ladder, Gojo finally makes a comeback. However, Satoru doesn’t appear in front of Yuji; instead, he instantly comes face-to-face with Kenjaku. It’s real. SATORU GOJO IS BACK!! Ready for his second round with the monsters.

Before Gojo can demonstrate his might to Kenjaku, he is interrupted by Sukuna (now in Megumi’s body). In a single panel, Gojo ridicules Sukuna for escaping Yuji’s body like a coward and listening to a guy like Kenjaku, sends Uraume flying with a single punch, and makes a snarky comment on Kenjaku’s stitched body. So, fans who were worried that Gojo might act differently after getting unsealed, rest easy — it’s the same old Gojo we remember dancing in the Lost in Paradise Ending for Season 1.

If you left reading Jujutsu Kaisen after the Shibuya Incident Arc (because it got too depressing without Gojo), it’s finally time for you to pick it back up. you may start again with Chapter 221, which will be available to read for free this weekend onViz MediaandManga Plus.
