It is to be noted that this is James Gunn’s last swing at winning that particular award, asGuardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 and 2 were unable to win the same exact award despite being nominated in their respective years. We’ll have to wait and see if the film will end up winning this time around.

However, fans might not have seen the last of these iconic characters on the silver screen.
