The Marvel Cinematic Universe has numerous famous franchises under its umbrella and that includes the belovedGuardians of The Galaxytrilogy. It is focused on sci-fi, so realism is never the main draw for the movies, but there are many things fans have come to love about the franchise. Now it appears the third film in the franchise is taking one last swing at the Oscars after the first two films failed to win a major award.

The franchise played a crucial role in elevating characters like Rocket Raccoon and Drax The Destroyer. Known for its unique blend of comedy and action, the movies have distinguished themselves within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3Is Taking One Last Swing At Winning The Oscars This Year
According toVariety,James Gunn’sGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3has been nominated for the Visual Effects Oscar this year, as it faces the likes ofGodzilla Minus One,Napoleonand others in the category.
It is to be noted that this is James Gunn’s last swing at winning that particular award, asGuardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 and 2 were unable to win the same exact award despite being nominated in their respective years. We’ll have to wait and see if the film will end up winning this time around.

What Happened In The FinalGuardians of The GalaxyFilm?
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 provided an emotional sendoff to everyone’s favorite characters in the epic space saga. The film particularly gave purpose to beloved characters like Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Drax The Destroyer.

The ending of the movie saw Rocket Raccoon discovering a whole colony of raccoons, expressing his desire to take care of them. Gamora returned to her own family while acknowledging that Star-Lord isn’t a bad person. Nebula, Drax, and Groot also received appropriate endings. However, fans might not have seen the last of these iconic characters on the silver screen.
