While many fans would not like anything more, sometimes they get surprised with the information they find out about Smith. There was one particular instance where even his son was surprised at what the actor was doing.
The Smiths Are a Very Affectionate Family
In 2013,Jaden Smithstarred alongside his father,Will Smith, in the science-fiction film,After Earth.The pair were giving an interview withWOODYfor the Thailand leg of the film’s press tour when something very bizarre happened. The interviewer asked the father-son duo about their characters in the film, who were very emotionally distant.
Asking about their own household situation, the host asked the two actors if their personal relationship was similar to their characters. This prompted the older Smith to hug his son and explain that they were very close in real life. His son was also quick to add that they were a very close family, joking that his father had even tried to kiss him once.

While many would have ended the conversation there, what the host asked next led to one of the most awkward moments in Smith’s very long career, including the infamous Oscars slapgate.
Will Smith Caught His Son Off Guard
After Jaden Smith mentioned that his father had tried to kiss him once, the host of the interview, Woody Milintachinda, asked quite a bold question. Turning to Will Smith, he asked the actor if he had ever kissed his son on Thai television before. Taking it as a challenge, he moved to his son to fulfill the demand.
While most viewers expected the actor to kiss his son on the cheek or something along the lines, this was not what happened. As his son was moving away from him, the actor kissed the younger Smith on his lips, shocking all viewers. Jaden exclaimed,
