Yuji Itadori and Sukuna, the protagonist and the antagonist ofJujutsu Kaisenhave been finally pitted against each other in a one-on-one as every other sorcerer has been defeated by the King of Curses. The last chapter of Gege Akutami’s masterpiece ended with Yuji Itadori finally awakening and landing a big black flash on Sukuna.
While Yuji has been fighting Sukuna, their battle generally involves a third party who distracts Sukuna while Yuji tries to extract him from Megumi Fushiguro’s body. However, the events of Chapter 256 indicate that Yuji is now going to face Sukuna alone and will finally be able to confront him for all the evil things he did to him and his friends.
Yuji and Sukuna have shared a connection since the beginning. Although initially it was believed that he was the vessel for the King of Curses, a recent theory states that he might be the perfect replacement for Sukuna.

Another factor that adds a unique perspective to Yuji and Sukuna’s relationship is that Yuji is the first andprobably the only vesselin the entireJujutsu Kaisenworld, who is able to eat Sukuna’s fingers and still have control over the body. Another factor that weighs in the probability of Yuji being the next Sukuna is that both characters are insanely strong and can adapt as the battle progresses. While Yuji has been lacking till now, he has caught up to the speed of Sukuna and might be the best character to replace the villain inJujutsu Kaisen.
