Kevin Feige’sSpider-Man 4Production Is Troubled
Kevin Feigecould use a lesson or two from James Gunn’s DCU, especially when it comes to the ‘quality first’ aspect. While other films in the MCU have their fair share of issues, one of the biggest headaches for the studio currently is their joint venture with Sony,Spider-Man 4. A script for the project is still in development, with both the MCU and SSU entering a tug-of-war regarding the setting of the film.
Jon Watts, the director of the earlier three films, has no part in this drama as he departed from theSpider-Manfilms last year. Other directors are considered for the film, which has no script or start date in place. Drew Goddard and Justin Lin are the frontrunners for directing the film, while some rumors also suggest thatSony is trying to convince Jon Wattsto return for the fourth film.
