For the first time since October last year, Darkrai has returned to five-star raid battles inPokemon GO.
The Mythical Pokemon always brings excitement when it returns to raid, with many trainers looking to take it down.
While some are looking to fill their ‘Dex, others are hunting for a shiny one, however, many often try to get high IV ones for the ever-changing PVP modes.
So, with the constant meta changes in mind, let’s take a look at if Darkrai is good inPokemon GOand what its best moveset is.
Is Darkrai Good in Pokemon GO PVP?
Despite its Mythical status, its typing and its mean looks, Darkrai really isn’t that good inPokemon GO. At least in the GO Battle League that is.
Due to its high CP, Darkrai doesn’t qualify for the Great League, and based on it’s ranking, it might as well not bother in the Ultra League either.
Ranking sitePVPokehas Darkrai down as the 423rd best choice in the Ultra League. Although it can defeat the likes of Origin Giratina, Gallade, Cofagrigus and Jirachi, it falls to many other Pokemon.
Pokemon like Mandibuzz, Umbreon and Scrafty are much better Dark-type picks in the Ultra League. Even Pokemon like Sneasel and Cacturne are better picks for the division.
Moving onto the Master League and Darkrai does perform a little better, however, it’s still not great, coming in at 170th place.
It does beat a handful of threats, including Mewtwo, Giratina and Metagross, it becomes prey to the majority of the other big hitters. Yveltal, Zarude, Weavile and Hydreigon are all better Dark-type picks here.
