The director of the recently launchedAlien Romulustweeted images showing the different trading cards created for the movie. One response to the images was a cheeky jab at the director for having taken inspiration for the character appearances fromThe Last of Us, which is coincidental as somerumors suggest the studio’s next project may be in the sci-fi genre.

The director then quote tweeted that post, revealing that he was playing the sequel when writing the new movie. Dina’s pregnancy in the game inspired the character of Kay in the movie.

The coincidence is that Isabella Merced, who was cast as Kay inRomulus, has now been cast to play Dina in the second season of the HBO series! It’s not often that one actor gets to play two roles in different productions that are inextricably linked by inspiration.

Space is a blank canvas that can be used to create any sort of gaming experience. Horror is a great fit because the environment itself is dangerous, and anything you add on top of that simply builds more tension.

Aliens are only one hurdle that many of these protagonists have to overcome, making it an ideal development ground for studios.
