The Executive Producer ofCastlevaniaand its spin-off series,Castlevania: Nocturne, Kevin Kolde, is one of the brilliant minds who helped create one of the best anime series on Netflix. The series became such a success that not only did it have four recurring seasons but also a sequel-spinoff series that featured a different story but with the same theme.

Kolde has worked on some major projects, but there is one narrative that he is desperate to work on, as it features his favorite storyline. Its name isSilent Hill 2, and it is a video game that focuses on the story of James Sunderland, who is on a journey to find his deceased wife in a horrific town called Silent Hill.
Kolde has expressed his desire to adapt the video game into an anime series, as he has loved the story of the game and would love to see it unfold even further through an anime series or a movie.

Kolde explained:
I’ll never get to work on it! My favorite video game of all time is Silent Hill 2. I know, right? I’d love to see a series or a movie, or anything sort of built around that game. It’s always been my favorite. I mean, there’s a lot of great stuff; Metroid. Everyone always talks about Zelda. You could go on and on with great games, great stories, and great characters.
While talking about other gaming series, Kolde stated that he understood the impact of anime adaptations with the release ofCastlevaniaand would love to see his favorite game,Silent Hill 2, also get an adaptation. He revealed that, just like this, there are many other great games that feature great stories and great characters.

Interesting Stories Are The Most Important Elements for Kevin Kolde
Talking about his future projects, theCastlevaniashowrunner revealed that he does not want to be the creator who only adapts video games. He explained that the most important thing to him is an interesting story and interesting characters, irrespective of the genre and theme that they are based on.
Kolde stated:
For me, in my animation aspirations, I don’t have a great desire to be the person who makes animated video game adaptations. I’m always looking for interesting stories and interesting characters, whether it’s stuff for kids or stuff for adults; whether it’s dark fantasy or comedy. It’s good to be able to work on a variety of things.
With a lot of symbolism and discussion of forbidden subjects,Silent Hill 2is a fantastic psychological horror novel that has the ability to hook viewers.
