Valorie Curry is pretty much aware of Firecracker’s negative behavior inThe Boysand she wishes not to see her character survive in the final season. It’s quite rare for an actor to have such an approach because most of the time, they want them to change or at least, have a redeeming arc.

The star might have seen Firecracker’s case as hopeless, and so during an interview, she confessed to wanting her on-screen persona to perish in the end.
Valorie Curry Reveals Her Shocking Wish ForThe Boys’ Firecracker
While attending the San Diego Comic-Con, actress Valorie Curry toldThe Hollywood Reporterwhat she hopes to see inFirecrackerin the final season.
I hope she dies. She has it coming from many people. She’s awful. She’s horrible. I hope she dies. I hope it’s not because of the meds, because that seems too easy.

Now, that’s quite a statement. Killing off a character that has become a crowd favorite despite her attitude would be a tough task. Her death shouldn’t be too easy, as Curry mentioned, but it should be a satisfying one. In a previous interview, the actress shared with the sameoutletwhy she was attracted to the role: “It sounds so gross to say, but I really connected with her right off the bat.”
She also praised creatorEric Kripkefor making a series that raises societal awareness. “The show satirizes so much of what’s happening culturally, whether it’s #MeToo or the Republican Party,” said Curry, who confessed to admiring Kripke’s work for years.

In fact, she finds some of Firecracker’s conspiracies too bizarre, but when she consulted Kripke, he’d say it was a direct quote from a real politician.

Fans will certainly never forget that one controversial interaction between Firecracker andAntony Starr’s Homelander. The br**stfeeding scene was too much for the viewers, but it solidified Firecracker’s loyalty to Homelander. In an interview withScreen Rant, Curry explained:
Yeah, she would do anything for Homelander, but also she’s great at intuiting what people need and she will give whoever’s in the room whatever they need in the moment to keep them on her side. She’s a survivor and I think that’s the way that she has always survived.

She discoveredHomelander’s fetishes and mommy issues, and she used that to her advantage. However, the method was too dangerous for her health, as it was revealed she had been taking prescription drugs to facilitate lactation. Season 4 ending saw Firecracker coughing and looking very frail.
