Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie have had an ongoing feud since the former first entered the franchise. While it is easy to tell that it is all in good fun, fans cannot help but enjoy every time one of them takes a dig at the other.

Although most instances of this involved the actors doing press for one of theAvengersfilms, their rivalry has taken on a new form since they stopped doing interviews together. In recent years, it has mainly been Mackie who is making digs at Holland. However, the payoff does not seem to be as satisfying as the Spider-Man actor no longer responds to his comments.
Regardless, Mackie recently made another reference to their feud while he was promoting his upcoming film,Captain America: Brave New World.

Anthony Mackie’s latest swing in his feud with Tom Holland
During a recent episode ofThe Official Marvel Podcast,Anthony Mackiemade an appearance alongside several other stars from the franchise. Here, he talked about his next project in the franchise,Captain America: Brave New World, which has quite a lot of new elements that fans can look forward to.
One of the biggest is the fact that the film will feature the Red Hulk, who will be played by the legendaryHarrison Ford. While this, on its own, would be an interesting element, audiences cannot wait to see how he mixes with Sam Wilson’s Captain America.

This is way better than any of Tom Holland’s movies. And, I have Harrison Ford.

While most have been focused on this aspect of the film, Mackie chose to make a very bold comparison during his appearance on the podcast. He stated that his upcoming film is better than any ofTom Holland’sSpider-Manfilms, then adding that one of the reasons for this is because of Ford’s presence.
Fans are not impressed with Anthony Mackie’s dig at Tom Holland
Although fans are looking forward to anotherCaptain Americafilm, comparing it to theSpider-Manfilms is a very bold move. While there have been more than a few skeptics who have doubted Tom Holland over the years, there is no denying that they have had a massive impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On top of the first two films doing an excellent job of setting up Peter Parker in a completely new light, there is arguably no Marvel project in recent years that can combat the cultural significance ofSpider-Man: No Way Home. Not only did the film bring three Spider-Men to one screen, but it also managed to bring their villains with them.

No Way Home is a hard one to beat my guy

Maybe better than Spider-Man Homecoming & Far from home but absolutely not better than “ No way home “ the movie was absolutely GOAT!
The rivalry between them is so funny 😭

Christopher Nolan’s Biggest Weapon in The Odyssey Won’t be Matt Damon or Tom Holland, It’s His Enhanced IMAX Camera
It was iconic in every way possible, and there are more than a few scenes to prove this. With this in mind, it is not surprising that Anthony Mackie’s recent comment aboutCaptain America: Brave New Worldis not being received well by fans.
While the upcoming film is anticipated, it is highly unlikely that it will be able to argue the success and impact of Holland’s trilogy.
Captain America: Brave New Worldwill be released in theaters on 28 July 2025.
