Talking toPEOPLE, Henry opened up about her abortion stating that she wouldn’t have gone through with it if it was up to her.
If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it. But then also, if I were to have made a different decision, then I would’ve lost the person that I loved. There were definitely difficult conversations about it. But looking back now, things happen for a reason.
Given the fact that Henry was only nineteen at the time, a decision like this was undoubtedly hard on her and has affected her to this day. She tells PEOPLE that there is no way of knowing“what goes on behind closed doors”which is why talking about difficult topics is a necessity, something she hopes her book would inspire women to do.

Henry recently appeared onThe Internet Is Deadpodcast where she opened up about the harrowing details of her abortion. She stated that there is a chance that the abortion chapter in her book could result in her getting sued by Payne’s team and added that she couldn’t care less.
In her own words,“If you’re going to sue me for privacy over something that’s actually true, I’m not going to let you stop me from using my voice…There’s so many things you do that aren’t like, you don’t care to lead a private life.”Damn.

As per Henry, Payne was so stressed about his reputation getting tainted in the public, he talked her into having an abortion at home, without any help, when she was only 19. Not only that but he allegedly didn’t even bother staying by her side when she went through it all. Henry added,“And then I do it at home and then he leaves.”Things are really not looking good for the singer.
