Since the original series went on for 3 seasons, a couple more seasons from the Netflix series were expected. Recently, the show was renewed for a second and third season. When it comes toGordon Cormier(Aang), Kiawentiio (Katara),Dallas Liu(Zuko), and other actors in the main cast of the Netflix series, it’s quite obvious that they will be returning to the show’s subsequent installments. It’s the recurring/guest actors we are worried about.

Martinez, who plays the role of waterbending master Pakku, was asked about the chances of him coming back for a second season. Unfortunately, his answer didn’t bring any good news to his fans.
The actor stated,

While Martinez seems content with his character’s season one ending and is unsure about him returning for a second season, there is another actor who is super hyped up for the same – Joel Montgrand. Montgrand plays the role of Hakoda, the father of Sokka and Katara.
When asked if he would like to be a part of season 2, Montgrand stated,

“Are you kidding me? Yeah, I’m gonna be jimmying it up like a mofo to get those vests right. Get those triceps popping. Hakoda’s a big boy.”
Well, at least we know it is not going to be a no from him.

The outlet also asked voice actor Michaela Jill Murphy if she’d like her character, Toph Beifong, to be a part of the live-action series’ upcoming seasons. To this she replied,
“Sure! By all means. I might not match; I’m very Irish, so I might not fit into the world. But, hey, if they need some some Irish settlers coming into town? You know where to find me.”

In the animated series, Toph only shows up in the second season and goes on to be a part of the show till the end. We are hoping to see her come to life in the Netflix adaptation!
