Oberyn Martell was a very important character for Pedro Pascal as it gave him every opportunity in Hollywood. The character himself was a masterpiece, a fan-favorite amongGame of Throneslovers, and it’s such a shame he only had a brief stint in the show. He was in there for only seven episodes during its Season 4 run, but that was enough to make the audience love and root for him.

The Mountain and the Viperwas one of the most exciting chapters in the show. Tyrion Lannister’s trial by combat commenced, and his champion was none other than Oberyn. He went against Ser Gregor Clegane, but just when we thought the Red Viper finally secured his victory, things went awry.
