As the interview continued, the actor talked about the concept of memory. The actor revealed while talking about memories that there are certain things that he simply cannot remember. Murphy stated that he cannot remember the events of his last week [jokingly, we hope]. Here’s what Murphy had to say about the Bacon Biography of 2021 and the conversation that followed:
“I love the work, but just the life. That kind of unique relentlessness that he had as an artist.”
The interviewer asked him whether he read biographies of famous people and here’s what Murphy had for an answer!
“When I was starting out. I always worry, though, reading them—because I can’t remember what I did last week…. I often wonder about the self-mythologizing.”
On the other hand, people talked about Britney Spears and how she introduced every minute and intricate detail to any event that may have happened roughly 20 years ago!

As the interview further progressed, Murphy revealed that he was quite happy to stop with the promotion ofOppenheimersince he was pretty tired. The actor revealed that he felt that it was a broken model and a model in which he had to be a part!
“I think it’s a broken model. The model is—everybody is so bored..Same was the case with ‘Peaky Blinders’. The first three seasons there was no advertising, a tiny show on BBC Two; it just caught fire because people talked to each other about it.”
He further continued,
“It’s like Joanne Woodward said, ‘Acting is like s*x—do it, don’t talk about it’. People always used to say to me, ‘He has reservations’ or ‘He’s a difficult interviewee.’ Not really! I love talking about work, about art. What I struggle with, and find unnecessary, and unhelpful about what I want to do, is: ‘Tell me about yourself…’”
With high ratings and rave reviews, Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy’sOppenheimerreceived a rating of 8.4/10 on IMDB and a whopping 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2023 film is currently available to rent on Apple TV+ in the U.S.
