It seems public sentiment has shifted againstHelldivers 2for the worse once again at a time when Arrowhead should be trying to win as much goodwill as possible. The newest Warbond for the game will be out in less than a week now, and the studio has detailed the new additions coming to the game.

However, despite adding some new gear to the game, fans are unhappy with Arrowhead’s offerings. Many feel the Warbond is not adding value to the game and have taken to social media to express their grievances, demanding more for their money.
Helldivers 2: Viper Commandos Warbond Is Not Sitting Well With Fans
Live-service titles depend on their battle passes and seasonal updates to continue monetization. With many of these titles having a planned life cycle of over five years, companies are hard-pressed to deliver new content consistently, retain player interest, and keep revenue flowing.
“I’m constantly getting thrown around”: Helldivers 2 Devs Need to Address a Major Buzzkill in Automaton Campaigns
The recent account-linking fiasco was a major bump in the road forHelldivers 2, tanking the overall concurrent player count significantly.Arrowhead Game Studios has been trying to win back its fans ever since, and one way of doing that is its monthly Warbond release. The newest one, titled Viper Commandos, offers new gear, but fans are saying it’s just not enough.
No offense but if this is all they’re offering, they can keep it. Woth how much money these guys have made so quickly they had better give the fans what they want. Effective weapons that don’t get nerfed, and fox the damn bugs that are destroying the experience.

One fan states that the new primary AR-223A Liberator Carbine rifle as a primary weapon and the secondary SG-22 Bushwhacker shotgun are not going to be impressive.
It’s wild I can already tell these guns are going to suck bad

Others state the guns will be nerfed on release.
Will the new guns come pre-nerfed in advance same as last warbond?
One fan is unhappy that there is only one primary weapon included, when previous Warbonds have offered multiple and several options for secondary weapons as well.

Only 1 new primary and it’s just an alternate version of a weapon we have?I mean cosmetics for the mech is cool and all but I wouldn’t want it to replace weapons.
Even the Utility item, the K-2 Throwing Knife, is catching flak for being unimpressive.

Nobody wants to throw a knife into a bug.
Overall, the fanbase is not super stoked with what Viper Commandos is bringing to the table. Even adding new armor sets and the ability to customize vehicles are not enough to be considered worthwhile.
Helldivers 2 Fans Have Expressed Their Dissatisfaction With Arrowhead’s Warbond Schedule
There’s no secret at the studio that Warbonds are some of the most important updates to release. They tend to take precedence over required fixes and patches.A community manager revealed that the team is aware of the major fixes required inHelldivers 2but that it also can’t break its monthly Warbond schedule.
“Call that a knife? THIS is a knife”: Helldivers 2’s Viper Commandos Warbond Has Shades of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Predator With Incredible Addition That’ll Make Mincemeat of the Terminids
Fans have stated Arrowhead has set an unrealistic goal for itself with such a schedule, and we may see hints of that in the latest Warbond. Those before the latest came with multiple new guns, while we have gotten only a reskinned version of an existing firearm this time. This could be due to Arrowhead stretching itself too thin in managing several things while trying to release new content.
Arrowhead would do well to listen to its player base, especially since it’s coming off the back of a controversy that severely rattled player trust in the game. By focusing on fixing bugs and improving the title, it can offer a better experience, which could keep people around for longer.
