The breakthrough was partly due to Angelina Jolie as she pulled back her request for the Freedom of Information Act. This allegedly cleared the way for Brad Pitt to move on from the divorce and potentially spend the rest of his life with Ines de Ramon.
Angelina Jolie Has Withdrawn Her Request
Angelina Jolie reported in her file that in 2016, there were some violent confrontations between her, Brad Pitt, and, their children aboard their private plane. According to Jolie, Pitt was physically abusive towards her and their children.

Well, the FBI announced that no charges against Pitt will be levied. In another report, Angelina Jolie stated (viaInTouch Weekly) that the FBI did not contact her before the announcement. Jolie filed for the Freedom of Information Act and demanded that the FBI reveal their investigation on the case of Brad Pitt’s alleged physical abuses and confrontations.
However, according to court documents obtained by InTouch, Jolie (who had filed her case with the name Jane Doe) has withdrawn her request. The filing read,
The parties to this action hereby stipulate to dismiss this action with prejudice, with each party to bear its own fees and costs.
This means that Jolie withdrew her petition and it is allegedly a huge relief for Brad Pitt. There have been constant rumors and speculations that Pitt has been dating Ines de Ramon for quite a while.
