Elden Ringis the latest game by FromSoftware, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. While it’s an open-world game,Elden Ringhas Legacy Dungeons, huge dungeons similar to those found in theDark Soulsseries. The Raya Lucaria Academy should be the second Legacy Dungeon most players will come across during their adventure as a Tarnished. However, it’s locked and you’ll need the Glintstone Key to open its gate.
How to get the Glintstone Key to open the Raya Lucaria Academy barrier
There are actually two Glintstone Keys you’re able to find inElden Ring, but the second one can only be obtained after you’ve defeated a certain boss inside the Raya Lucaria Academy itself.
First Glintstone Key location
The first key is in the Liurna of the Lakes region, the same region as the Raya Lucaria Academy and the one you reached after clearing Stormveil Castle. You’ll find the key on an island located west of the Academy. See the red dot on the map screenshot below.
The first Glintstone Key location will be guarded by a boss, Glintstone Dragon Smarag. You can actually skip past the dragon and simply loot the key if you can’t manage to beat him.
Where is the second Glintstone Key?
The second Glintstone Key can be looted from a corpse in the Church of the Cuckoo’s ceilings. But first, to be able to access this area, you need to defeat the boss Red Wolf of Radagon, located inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria dungeon.
The corpse will be on one of the chandeliers. Once you have this second key, you’ll be able to give it to Thops, an NPC merchant at the Church of Irith. Thops sells spells, but if you give him the key, he’ll leave. So if you play a magic-based character, be sure to buy his spells before giving him the key.
