Now that we’ve establishedwhen the Ahsoka series takes placein the greater Star Wars timeline, it’s time to work out what age the Togruta is in the current show. Here’s how old Ahsoka is in the Disney+ series.
How Old Is Ahsoka In The Disney+ Series?
Ahsoka is approximately 47 years old in the Disney+ series, asStar Wars: Timelinesby Kristin Baver, Jason Fry, Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell confirmed. Ahsoka was born in the year 36 BBY and the Ahsoka series takes place in 11 ABY. As a reminder, the Star Wars timeline hinges on the Battle of Yavin, with BBY standing for “Before the Battle of Yavin” and ABY meaning “After the Battle of Yavin.”
The Togruta was born roughly four years beforeStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menaceon the planet Shili within the Expansion Region. After displaying a connection to the Force at such a young age, Ahsoka began her Jedi training at just three years old in 33 BBY. She was found by Jedi Master Plo Koon. Ahsoka trained for the following 11 years alongside other Jedi younglings, and she was given the title of Padawan when she turned 14 years old in 22 BBY. She wastaken under the wing of her mentor Anakin Skywalker.
In the year 19 BBY, at the age of 17 years old,Ahsoka decided to leave the Jedi Orderafter fighting alongside Anakin in the Clone Wars. The Togruta was framed for a crime she did not commit, and the Council swiftly turned their back on her despite her innocence. After she was exonerated, the Council offered her the title of Jedi Knight as an apology, but Ahsoka rejected the offer and decided to leave because of their actions. In the same year, Ahsoka helped track down Maul with Bo-Katan Kryze on Mandalore and survived Palpatine’s Order 66.

For the following 15 years,Ahsoka became a Rebel under Bail Organa’s Rebel Alliance and joinedHera Syndulla’sGhost crewshown in the animated seriesStar Wars Rebels. Prior to her transition to Rebel, she used the name “Ashla” in order to hide from the Empire after Order 66 went through, but she was soon chased by an Inquisitor, This event prompted her to join the Alliance. The Togruta was around 33 years old at this point when she engaged in a fight with her former mentor, Anakin Skywalker, as Darth Vader while searching for a Sith Temple on Malachor. The fight would have cost Ahsoka her life hadEzra Bridgernot rescued her from the World Between Worlds.
Between 1 ABY and 9 ABY, Ahsoka’s whereabouts are relatively unknown. She went on her own journey in the World Between Worlds, but it is assumed that she continued helping the Rebels as well for those eight years. In The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, set between 9 ABY and 11 ABY, Ahsoka reentered the timeline as she was searching for Ezra Bridger andGrand Admiral Thrawn. However,Din Djarin managed to convince Ahsoka to help train Grogu as a Jedi.
How Long Do Togruta Live?
If you think Ahsoka is passing her prime on the approach to 50 years old, then it may interest you to know that her connection with the Forcesignificantly extends her lifespanpast the normal survival rate of Togruta.
Togruta are known as sentient humanoid creatures that can be identified by their protruding montrals, head tails, and unique skin tones with white pigments on the face. Hailing from their homeworld of Shili, notable Togruta in Star Wars lore, joining Ahsoka Tano, include Jedi Master Shaak Ti, Jedi Master Jora Malli, and Supreme Chancellor Kirames Kaj.
On average,the standard lifespan of Togruta sits around the 82-year markand individuals who pass the age of 95 were given the utmost respect for their longevity. As Togruta age, they gradually lose their teeth and develop aging of the skin shown through wrinkles similar to humans. If their head tails, or lekku, remained undamaged for the majority of their life, they tend to retain their smarts.
Togruta who were attuned to the Force, however, lived significantly longer.The average lifespan of a Togruta Force user stretches up to 200 years, which is over double the lifespan of a non-Force user. This indicates that Ahsoka is still considered relatively young as a Togruta Force user, confirming that she is very much still in her prime within the Disney+ series.
